California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC

We had one of our yearly reunions last year ever since parting ways when SPM was over. For the past 3-4 years it’s been tradition to meet up and catch up during Chinese New Year. The usual agenda was gaming in a cybercafe followed by a mamak session. This year I think we’re all abit grown up and our wallets are a bit heavier, so we settled for pizza and beer at California Pizza Kitchen.

CPK had a dark and orangey atmosphere and was almost full. I ordered a Carbonara Linguini and a jug of beer which I shared with Trent. Trent got himself some kind of mushroom and pepperoni pizza (bottom left) while Joey got a Neopolitan Margarita pizza (bottom right). The dish in the top right is something really awesome. It’s chips with spinach and artichoke dip. The dip was superb! Reminded me of this Indian dish called saag, though not exactly the same.

My Carbonara Linguini was quite bad. It was so bad that I’m not even going to bother putting a picture of it up. The sauce was watery and tasteless. I picked out all the turkey bacon and ate them, and left the linguini alone. Bad! Bleh. The mushroom and pepperoni pizza was very good according to Trent, but I didn’t try a slice of it. The Neopolitian Margarita is something I’d like to call pointless. It’s just bread with tomato and herbs on top. Sian x 100. But it tasted okay lah.

Bill came up to about RM165.
